Charlene Raddon is a friend and a very talented author. She has joined me here today to tell us about her new Cover Design venture. Welcome, Charlene.
First, let me thank Susan for having me today and letting me plug my new adventure.
I’ve been artistic for as long as I can remember. Art was my favorite subject in school and my major in college. Becoming a writer was sort of an accident, one I’m definitely not sorry for. Forty-three years ago I moved from Los Angeles County to Utah where I’d planned to paint all the glorious scenery here. I never even picked up a paint brush. Instead I started writing.
But the artistic urge never left me. I’ve used many medias to express my urge. Pottery, mosaic, macrame, dyed Ukranian eggs, crochet, needlepoint, digital scrapbooking, even gardening. Of them all, the eggs and the scrapbooking were the most fulfilling. After I signed on with Tirgearr Publishing to publish my books electronically, I had the opportunity to design a few covers for them, and for a few friends, as well as three of my own. I was hooked.
I love designing book covers, banners, and blog sites. When I hooked up with two other fantastic writers to produce Stilettos at High Noon, I grabbed at the chance to design covers for the site. Now I’ve started my own cover design business called Cover-Ops. It’s been a blast. My specialty is romance, all subgenres.
I hope you’ll stop by my site at http://cover-ops.blogspot.com and check out the pre-made covers I’ve designed. I also do banners, logos and blog design, including custon backgrounds and headers, and blog setup. Visit my blog http://charleneraddon.blogspot.com to see what I’ve done for my own site. Try me and see what I can do for you. Mention Susan Horsnell’s name for a 10% discount.
