Blurb

Parental neglect, emotional abuse, alcohol, and drug abuse. It came as a total surprise to the people who knew him when they learned of the dark secrets of Finn Baker’s life.

The talented and successful potter turned upscale landscaper designer kept his secrets by well, keeping them secret.

No one knew of his obsessions’ or how he handled them.

He lived a mostly reclusive life interacting with people only on his own terms.

Narcissism became apparent as he entered his late teens.

He felt entitled to take what he wanted, no matter what he wanted and what he wanted most was adulation, success, and fame.

And women, of course.

4.0 out of 5 stars I have to admit that I did not enjoy this book as much as Finding Fortune because it was a little more sinister than I like my reading to be. However, it did hold my interest and was very descriptive drawing me into the story. I feel like the ending was too cut and dry and could have been a little more dramatic. Overall it was a good read and I look forward to more from this author.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for an entertaining story of romance and mystery. The descriptions are so vivid that I felt myself becoming a part of the story. I found it hard to put down once I started reading until it was finished. Hopefully, this author will continue writing because I would love to read more of her work.

About The Author

About me-hope you are not looking for awards and interviews or earth shattering revelations. I have had a quiet life (as quiet as it can be raising three daughters), worked a variety of jobs and the only earth shattering experience I have had was seeing a line of UFOs over the ocean late one night while on vacation. I always believed they were out there but never thought I would see one. Amazing sight!

I am a proverbial late bloomer as far as creativity goes; I found that I have some talent creating pastel art and have concentrated on that for the last 7 years and love it. I have some of my work in two galleries in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and on a page on Facebook.

2020 has revived an old love for me, writing, and I finally finished and published a book that I had started years ago. I am slow but tenacious. “Finding Fortune” (Romance/Mystery) is my first published work and I have recently published “Baker’s Dozen” (Serial Rapist/Crime). Different ends of the spectrum no doubt!  Now I am concentrating on writing instead of artwork and have started on my third book. This has been the best thing to come out of the ongoing restrictions due to Covid-19 for me.
