My friends were stolen by the Fae. Their presence has been all but erased from the internet, and their absence was explained away to family and friends. Seeing the minds of grief-stricken parents completely altered drove home how dangerous the path I’m traveling is. Still, I won’t give up until I locate Elia and Roan. Even if the other member of our found family, Glenn, is too scared to act. Digging further into their disappearance, I use my magic and connections to seek knowledge and forge a relationship with the mysterious beings that have terrified me my entire life. Astral travel has opened my universe up. The teachers I’m forced to trust will be my ruin or a crash course in survival in the deadly realm I’m determined to breach.

Alun

I never imagined the silly witch with traces of Fae blood would end up being my mate. I’ll protect her at all costs, even against herself. Bickering with the woman who comes into a power that rivals my own wakes more than my dormant emotions. Fire licks at my skin and races through my veins, engulfing us and fueling our muscles. The child of the Holly King has died, and the Summer Court will soon follow. I’m not sure the realm on the brink of civil war and destruction should be saved. If my mate doesn’t take the place of the fallen, the lands will go dark. Threatened by our rise, we’re attacked by dark powers who have no idea the depths I’ll sink to in order to keep what’s mine safe.

Adventure wasn’t something Lorelei was interested in. Gifted by a dark Faerie with two other-worldly talents for singing and healing, she’s always shied away from her gifts, preferring invisibility, over attention and fame. But when she meets the enigmatic Adrius, with his dark and dangerous mystique and eyes that see into her soul, her life becomes irrevocably altered.

Adrius turns up in every one of her classes and knows more about her than any newcomer should. Including the condition of her mother who is suffering from a mysterious illness. Accepting his offer to help leads her into a terrifying and thrilling world, where Elves are even hotter than Legolas, and Faeries…are nothing like Tinkerbell. The two magical beings are fire and ice opposites. One Lorelei can’t help falling for, and the other she’s compelled to be with.

Now she’s trapped, expected to prevent a war between witches and faeries, or forfeit her mother’s life. Nothing is what it seems. Not her family. Not the Fey. Not even Adrius, whose feelings for her balance precariously between desire and danger. Despite her better judgment, she can’t stay away.

As secrets unravel and unsettling truths are revealed, Lorelei must fight to save much more than her mother’s life. One mistake could put the fate of his world, and her soul in jeopardy.

But hey, no pressure…right…

That same intense desire I’d felt even as he stalked away from the night before took over. That pull I’d had in Mrs Cox’s office to go in search of him—it was there, inside of me. Deep within the centre of my body, the need to search for him abated.
I still wanted to stab him with a pole and parade him at the entrance to the nearest bridge. The two opposing forces warred within me.
Although I was silent in my approach, his shoulders stiffened. “Don’t come any closer.” With his quiet words, my legs trembled and wobbled.
My chest tightened until every breath stung. Yet still I stood there. The trees waved and watched as awkward silence spun around us. I scanned the page his hand rested on. Sensitive pencil strokes had drawn the leaves hanging overhead. How could the fingers that had nearly squeezed the life from me have produced such a sensitive and light touch? I gasped. Under the leaves was me, outlined in slate grey. Same eyes, same nose and lips. Only my dress was different. In the place of the trainers and skinny jeans I’d worn the night before was a simple cotton dress which hung to the floor, hinting at the curves I kept safely hidden beneath layers of baggy outerwear.
The forest began to darken, stealing shadows creeping into the edges of my vision.
I took an instinctive step towards him. The pulsing repulsion which made me want to hurl sharp objects at him, jarred against the need to know what it was about this place, about those repetitive dreams.
“Don’t come closer,” he repeated, and my stomach flipped and dived like on the rollercoaster at Coney Island. I clutched my tummy.
“Why are you drawing me?”
