Some destinies are written in the stars. Others must be bought with blood…

The Zodia are real. Clawing their way from a long-forgotten tomb, they emerge, ravenous to claim everyone born under their star signs. Plotting to resurrect kingdoms no human knew existed, they are driven by a hunger for vengeance against the one who buried them: Aries.
Larken is a natural born sprinter, but even she can’t outrun the darkness closing in. A shelter-in-place order has been issued, causing widespread panic. Some brush the alarm off as a drill, until people begin to disappear… vanishing without a trace. Left with only one option, Larken’s brother does what he must to save her life… and calls forth Aries.
Considered a traitor by his own kind, only Aries has the power to stand against the Zodia. But he can’t do it alone. Mystically bonded to Larken, the pair must band together for the fight to come if either hope to make it out alive. Neither anticipated the passion that would ignite between them. Yet, in a world suddenly thrust into chaos, it may be the key to their survival.
The Zodia are out for blood with their attentions inexplicably focused on Larken. When long buried truths finally come to light, will their love be their salvation or their curse?

Promises Broken

Title: Promises Broken (Nine Kingdoms, Book 4)
Author: Ann Bakshis
Genre: Epic Fantasy
Editor: John Cameron McClain
Cover Designer: Lori Pryzbranowski of Hell Yes Designs
Blurb:
A fortunate turn of events has Evander seeing his desires finally being fulfilled, but at a great cost to his wife Honora. Her only wish now is to flee the realm, but that can’t happen until the gate into the lost kingdom of Toorkuns has been unlocked. The moment it is, all the creatures in Reynes will have their full powers restored, and balance of rule will shift to the dark magic beings.
But neither she nor Evander have the nine medallions required to unlock the gate, and there’s very few opportunities available to obtain them without suspicion. Lies will be told, truths unraveled, and deals made that no husband should ever agree to.
Honora plans on reopening the gate… no matter what.
I’ve always loved to write ever since I was young. I would picture myself as the main character so I could go on adventures. They began as daydreams, which I eventually put down onto paper. Throughout the years I would write whenever I got the chance no matter how small the manuscript turned out to be. I’d tried the traditional method of sending out query letters to agents, but they would respond with a “thanks, but no thanks” note. I felt discouraged, but kept writing. I had a lot of encouragement from my mom, my Aunt Jeanne, my daughter, and my husband. Having the support helped keep me chasing my dream. A few years ago, I decided to buckle down and get serious about my writing. After some research and speaking with a friend of my husband, I took the plunge into self-publishing. I found an editor and a cover designer along with other indie authors on Facebook. I’ve joined groups and asked advice from writers who have already been through the steps it takes to get out there. It took me four years and three versions before I published my first book titled Wasteland. From there, I’ve completed several series and stand-alones with quite a few more in progress, so watch for their release.

Another kingdom has
fallen. One that had been ruled by a cruel, callous man. Geron was never
considered a desirable kingdom by anyone in Reynes, but now that it has no
ruler the whores, bastards, and criminals who call that land home begin to
spread their poison, infiltrating the other kingdoms with their depravity.Seven
kingdoms now remain of the original nine, but only six meet at a royal
gathering to determine Geron’s fate and the safety of the realm. Honora finds
herself unprepared for the aftermath of her brother Lycus actions, as she’s
pulled into a dispute forged by the ruling kings and queens vying for control
over the home she shared with him. Evander sees this gathering as a perfect
opportunity to collect the medallions he needs, but he’ll have to be very
persuasive in liberating them from their owners without divulging his true
identity, or intentions.

Blurb:
From the USA Today
& International Bestselling author of the Saga of Crimson & Clover
comes a gripping new epic fantasy world that will leave you breathless to the
very last page.

A crown woven
together by lies.

A kingdom with the
power to unravel them.

Four Reaches. Four
brides. Only a fortnight separates the young women from becoming reluctant
queens of the usurper king, Eoghan Rhiagain.

Twenty years
earlier, King Eoghan’s father cunningly devised marriages between the highborn
sons and daughters of the oft-warring Reaches, sealing the unions before they
could protest, shattering existing betrothals in place of forced alliances.

Now, Eoghan, the
cruel boy king who stole his crown through murder, demands the eldest daughters
of these unions. To accept is unfathomable. To refuse is treason.

The lords and ladies
of the kingdom have no choice but to prepare their beloved daughters for the
horrors ahead. But they’ll soon discover there are no longer any daughters left
to present. All four have disappeared, painting the world with their rebellion.

Theirs is not the
only rebellion. Across the kingdom, little fires light within. From the
enigmatic sorcerers in the northern mountains, to the magi who both wield and
regulate the kingdom’s magic, and beyond… to a place where two prisoners are not
what they seem.

As the Reaches ready
themselves to face the king, the kingdom hovers on the edge of chaos.

And there are many
who recall, in candlelit secrecy, tales of a time before…

Only inches separated us. He leaned in and let the tip of his horn rake into my hair. I shouldn’t have liked it. I should’ve turned away from him. But his hand was warm and rough on my side, and for whatever reason – whether it was the pledge or not – Aries wanted to touch me. And I needed to feel something other than fear.
I liked the feel of his hand on my hip as it slid down and pulled me closer. Closer. Closer.
Until my chest bumped against his and he inhaled loudly. A strangled sound escaped his parted lips.
I reached up and brushed my fingertips over his horn and watched him shudder. His eyes, when they weren’t focused on my lips, tracked my every movement.
He closed them as I let my fingertips graze his horn again, drifting over every obsidian bump and ridge. His hand tightened against my side, the tips of his claws digging in ever so slightly. His free hand cupped my jaw as a rumble tore from his chest.
“You tempt me,” he said. There was tension, accusation, and something more profound in his voice.
The dark slashes that were his eyebrows furrowed as I lowered my hand, taking it away from his horn and brushing it down his chest, over his black tunic. His breath hitched as I slid it back up to toy with the hair at the nape of his neck. I didn’t know what came over me.
Maybe it was the fact that he was so close, or the gravity of the situation in which we’d found ourselves. Or the brazen but reverent way he held his hand against my skin, against the mark. Maybe it was the look in his eyes that told me he wanted me to touch him back.
Whatever it was, something had shifted between me and Aries… something dangerous. Because if I was going to survive him, I couldn’t allow myself to fall for him.

Nineteen-year-old Karis has been blind since birth, but for some reason, she can see through the wall of smoke that separates the human lands from those of the Faeries that rule in grand courts on the other side. Most of the time, the only thing she can see on the other side of the wall is the swipe of a tail or the trailing of a bony hand along the surface. But one day, a handsome faerie appears and sweeps her away into his world—a world that is being ravaged by an evil so dark and deadly, she fears she may never see her home again. Loftin is a bounty hunter and he has been searching for Karis since she went missing from the Court of Ash. He needs to return her and collect the ransom. But the longer they travel together and the more he teaches her about what she is now able to see, the more difficult he finds the thought of letting her go. A fiery passion ignites between them, but with a monster tracking their every move, they must find a way to reach the Court of Ash before it kills them both.

Chaos Reigns

Title: Chaos Reigns
Author: G. S. Scott
Genre: Epic Fantasy (with Romantic Elements & LGBTQ Characters)
Cover Designer: Colleen Nye
Editor: Genevieve Scholl
Publisher: True Tree Press
Publication Date: May 21st, 2019
Blurb:
For 500 years, the God of Chaos has ruled in a torturous reign of brutality. Now, desperate gods and goddesses are seeking an end to his dominion. To counter them, Chaos calls for the Cleansing: the sacrifice of all children under two.
Ellis escapes the Cleansing through intuition and prophetic dreams. Visions drag him north toward an ethereal tower, deep in The Lands of the Dead. His life is saved by Dirge, a swordsman with a haunted past who thinks Ellis was born to end the reign of Chaos. Ellis grows to head a troupe of traveling entertainers. His only true friend is Daylin, a young woman and former priest’s slave who talks with wolves. Always on the move, they stay steps ahead of the fire-wielding priest who killed Ellis’ parents.
To the north, villagers discover Betal at the forest’s edge. Sensing Betal’s immense power, a local paladin excludes Betal from the Cleansing and declares him The Hand of God. As Betal falls into a roll as an acolyte to Chaos, strange dreams of wolves haunt him. His only friend is a fellow acolyte, Mangin, a beguiling young woman who delights in twisting the minds of others. The pair set out to Citadel, where they will become full-fledged priests, if they can escape a murderous beast and assassins who stalk the path.
When the two groups meet, intrigue, love, and sex intertwine them. Can they trust one another when the old gods challenge Chaos using mortals as pawns? Even fools know to trust Chaos is to invite death.

Heartless squatted on the edge of his golden throne, his eye color changing wildly. A snarl played on his lips as he reveled in the power flowing from the Lord of Chaos through the bejeweled, multihued crown, entangled within his long black hair. At the foot of his dais lay the bubbling pool that used to be his herald—the man had the poor luck to bring him the spy. Heartless didn’t dare kill his eyes and ears within the Council of Taneer so he took his rage out on the herald.
A voice whispered in the back of his head.
He glanced at the spot where the spy’s gateway closed when the man left, the lingering scent of burnt ozone still in the air. “What were you holding back?” he asked, his voice echoing in the vast, dust-choked chamber. The light from mangled, crystal chandeliers and rush torches, along with the sparse rays peaking in through boarded windows left the castle in perpetual dim, earning it the name, the Black Keep.

Heartless clenched his fists, the knuckles whitening. It didn’t matter what the spy withheld, the news he brought was bad enough. His face twisted. “Gabriel thinks he can take what is mine? The gall! I won their damned Game. Edis—Chaos himself—chose me, and I won. The world is mine. And now the Arbiter expects me to step down over some time limit? A time limit?” Heartless hurled his golden scepter across the room, the crystal top shattering on the rippled, uneven marble floor. Taking a deep breath, he chuckled. “A Rebirthing? Why would Gabriel do such a thing? Why be a mortal when he’s already a god?”
