Bio

I am Lorna Michael’s I live in the Blue Mountains 2 hours from Sydney in NSW Australia with my husband and two fur babies

I have been writing since I was a child and can remember the first time I was published in the school newsletter as you age of eight.

For many years I have kept journals writing my thoughts as well as poetry. With over 50 poems in my arsenal, I decided to share them with the world. I have been told by many that have read my poems that they are art with a powerful message and that is what I want people to take away from my words a message for themselves whatever that should be.

I believe there is a message in every word I write, and I believe the world should read it

I have several works in progress projects that I will work on one at a time, so stay tuned and watch this space for more

Fling Club

Title: Fling Club
Author: Tara Brown
Genre: RomCom
Publisher: Skyscape
Publication Date: August 14th, 2018
Blurb:
It’s revenge—sweet and hot—in the first book of this sexy and wickedly funny series by international bestselling author Tara Brown.
For the young, rich, and beautiful, summertime in the Hamptons means one thing: Fling Club. Only this time, Cherry Kennedy won’t be selecting a boy for a fleeting romance. Nope, this season, Cherry is out for revenge. Her target? The Fling Club founder and society darling who slept with Cherry’s now-very-ex-boyfriend. And all Cherry needs is the perfect guy for her plan…
Ashley Jardine can’t afford to refuse. He scored almost a full ride to MIT. But that almost still costs a lot. And this is so much money for a little game of revenge and a chance—albeit short—to live the high life. Here, rich girls rule the shore, and everyone has a role to play. Only nothing in the job description warned Ashley that the redhead who’s running the scheme would be so crazy. And cute. Or that he wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about her.
Now, everything is going according to plan—until an unexpected attraction raises the stakes. It’s enough to turn the perfect payback into absolute heartbreak.
I believe growing up in a really small town gives a person a little advantage when it comes to the imagination. You need one or you go mad.
Needless to say, mine saved me. After it got me into trouble first, that is. That’s the problem with a vivid imagination, all the lies you tell.
I am happily married with two daughters.
I have two giant dogs, two savage cats, and a penchant for a glass of red.
Also, I drag my bread through the sauce. I can’t help myself, bread is life.
According to my age, I am meant to be a responsible adult, but it isn’t going well at all. I would still head off to Hogwarts tomorrow and I suspect there isn’t a single wardrobe I haven’t crept into, hoping to find the door to Narnia. And don’t even get me started on the King’s Road, I get lost.
Fortunately, I am an international bestseller so I have wormed my way into a quirky or eccentric category.
Thank God for that.
I am represented by Natalie Lakosil from the Bradford Literary Agency and am published traditionally with Montlake Romance.

I glanced in the side view mirror and peered over my shoulder.

“What is it?” His voice had completely transformed from the tension a moment before; he sounded completely content.

“That car,” I answered. “It’s been behind us since we left the school.”

“Hmm,” he grunted, glancing quickly over his shoulder at the black Mustang. “Strange. You don’t recognize it?”

I shook my head. “No. Should I?”

“No. I’m just expecting Rudy to do something stupid again.”

“You would never hurt him, would you?”

“I let him beat the crap out of me, Jane, without moving to fight back. What do you think?” He chuckled. His emotions were inconsistent, as usual—the most unnatural thing about him.

I just nodded. “Right.”

I looked behind me again. The car was still following us even after we had turned.

“Where are you going?” I finally asked when I noticed he had passed my street.

“Testing this guy.” His voice was quiet and swelled with tension again.

“Can you actually see him?” I asked, glancing over my shoulder again.

“Stop turning around!” he snapped. “He’ll figure out what I’m up to.”

“Can you see him?” I asked again.

He nodded. “Barely.”

“Well—”

“Please,” he demanded, cutting my sentence short. “Don’t ask any questions. I promise everything will be all right.”

That was a dead giveaway he was worried. I was thinking that maybe he could read the stranger’s mind or something like that. Should he be worried?

I leaned back in my seat and closed my eyes. It was strange; I could barely even make out a shape behind the tinted windows of the car, but Aidan seemed like he actually knew who it was.

“Aidan?” I whispered.

“Shh. Really, Jane. I’m trying to concentrate.”

Concentrate on what? I didn’t ask. After about fifteen minutes of silence, Aidan turned, and the Mustang kept going straight. I thought I saw the stranger’s shape in the car turn and stare at us as he drove by.

Aidan sighed and pulled over on the side of the road and put the car in park. He squeezed the bridge of his nose. “I did the only thing I had tried to avoid.”

I didn’t answer.

“All I wanted to do was keep you safe, and now I have endangered you.”

“What?”

“I didn’t want us to be friends because I wanted you to be safe, but if I leave you now, you will never be safe.”

“Aidan, what’s going on?”

“The license plate of that car…” he paused.

“Yeah?”

“Did you see it?”

“I saw there was a seven and I think a B?”

He nodded. “Yeah, tacked to the end of the letters S-E-V-R-N.”

I froze for a moment but recoiled. “It could be a coincidence.”

He shook his head.

“I thought you didn’t believe in them.”

“Yes, I said that.” His voice dropped. “I lied.”

“You lied?”

“Yes, Jane, I lied. Let’s not make a big deal about it, okay? I know The Sevren exists. I know for a fact.”

“Because you’re one of them!” I yelled out instantly after his response.

Deanna Oscar Paranormal Mysteries Book 8
Ghosts never forget, rarely forgive, and frequently refuse to move on.
While Deanna is helping her brother settle in, her friends relationships give her reasons to worry and celebrate—depending on the couple.
Work, however, never stops.
The case that falls in her lap at the Hundred Willows Plantation is truly disturbing. The ghosts have become restless—attacking tourists and tour guides. While the family denies there is anything haunting the antebellum mansion, they can’t hide the truth from Deanna.
The plantations dark history repeats itself. Specific scenes playing out over and over. That isn’t the worst of it.
It’s when the supernatural residents try to interact with humans that injury and death become a recurring theme for the living.
The only way to change the pattern is for Deanna to put herself in the path of anger, attack, and Death (wearing high heels) itself.
A loyal Chicago girl who loves deep dish pizza, the Cubs, and The Lake, CC Dragon is fascinated by the metaphysical and paranormal.  She loves creating characters, especially amateur sleuths who solve mysteries. A coffee and chocolate addict who loves fast cars, she’s still looking for a hero who likes to cook and clean…so she can write more!

His dachshund is a buccaneer on the high seas, his retriever recounts a past life as a circus lion, and Daniel is cast time and again as a romantic hero.

Dog Diary
Thursday, 5:00 a.m.
Dear Annie,
Your stories are back in here, but during their short hiatus to my office I showed them to my boss. After reading them, Peter took off his glasses and said, “So you’re telling me that this woman leaves you a new fairy tale every night?”
     “Yes. Every night.”
“Then you know what she is, don’t you?”
     “What do you mean?”
“This Irish woman. Do you know what she is?”
I shook my head. “What are you talking about? What is she?”
“Wake up, Daniel. That dog walker of yours is a Scheherazade.”
Annie, you didn’t respond to my invitation, and in looking back I can see how easily it could be misconstrued. If I were a woman, alone and in a different country, I might not agree to meet a semi-stranger for coffee either, even if I had been entertaining him for days with fantastical stories.
So please, allow me to make myself less of a stranger.
I am known by a small but select group of females as a heartless jerk incapable of falling in love. Each in turn soon gave up on me, more with a sad shake of the head than with dishes flying. It has happened so often that I have to concede the ladies are right. Apparently I have skipped or tripped over some developmental step that makes me incapable of true intimacy. I’ve made my peace with that, and recently have been lucky enough to meet Victoria, a lady who seems to suffer the same affliction. (Does that make us soul mates or soul-less mates?)

He should have terrified me, but he didn’t because I was just as messed up in the head as he was.
I was a spider trapped in his web.
I didn’t have it all figured out.
What I did know was Core was no Prince Charming, and I, for damn sure, wasn’t a princess.
There would be no fairy-tale ending for us.
It would be hard work, and more importantly, it would be real.
Life couldn’t be all about tiaras and knights riding in to save the day.
This was my give.
This was his take.
And there was no going back.
Till death do us part…

Core kept his answer short. “I’m all yours. If you’re all mine.”
My breath caught in my throat as I blinked hard. His words gave me goose bumps, stirring a longing in me I hadn’t known existed until now. For a moment, I wondered what it would be like to be loved, adored, and worshiped by a man like Core, but I quickly dismissed the dumb thought.
Without thinking, I blurted out, “Until?”
He eased back, eyeing me. “That’s up to you, Sin.”
He was right. How far this shit went between us was completely up to me. I was in control…and I planned on keeping it. That’s why I had to get out of there.
“I always trust my gut.” I bit my bottom lip. My fingers itched to trail across the all-seeing eye tattoo etched into the skin of his neck, but then I caught myself. Tenderness was not something I embraced. I fucked men and then disconnected. But that was B.C.—Before Core. Now, here I was breaking all the rules with the one man I shouldn’t.
No. I will not give in to him.
He reached forward, threading his fingers through my hair. “And what is your gut telling you about me?”
“Run because you’re nothing but trouble.” It was the damn truth. Yes. I was very attracted to him. Yes. I wanted him like no other man I’d ever met. And, yes, he scared the living shit out of me because of all of the above. Core was an itch I couldn’t stop scratching. He was a man who, no matter how much I wanted to walk away from, I just couldn’t muster up the strength to do that—run.

I’d found a bathroom halfway down the hall and was on my way back toward the stairs when I heard a thud in a room to my right. At first glance nothing seemed out of order. Not wanting to be intrusive, I turned back toward the party. However, a hand clapped over my mouth, stopping me dead in my tracks. My grandfather stepped out of the shadows of the room.
“Come with us quietly and no one will get hurt.” Stephen’s eyes flared even brighter in warning.
“You wouldn’t,” I started to argue muffled by the hand behind me but knew I’d lost that argument the moment my voice cracked.
Rylan’s warm breath was in my ear and I couldn’t quite pinpoint which emotion it elicited. “Don’t give me any reasons to hurt him,” he whispered, and I knew without a doubt he meant Chase.
Part of me knew I should fight, that no one downstairs would want me to surrender no matter the cost … but another part, a much larger part, still felt the need to protect Chase. I’ll also admit that some of that was selfishness, too. I knew leaving with them could put myself in jeopardy but the possibility of having some of my questions answered was too tempting. I really didn’t believe my grandfather would hurt me. Rylan, however, I was undecided about. He seemed perfectly fine with shredding my soul apart once before. There still had to be traces of the old Rylan though, right? The boy from my dreams. Could I talk sense into him?
I nodded in understanding and followed Stephen to the back of a closet in the room. Pushing on a corner, a hidden door sprang open before him.
“Not a sound,” he said in final warning before disappearing into the blackness. Rylan removed his hand, pressed me forward then paused to close the panel behind him.
We had to have stumbled along the passage for at least ten minutes before the stale air became less thick. In the growing distance, voices called out and I clenched my jaw, imagining Chase’s panic as he searched relentlessly for me. A hint of night air tickled my nose. My strong affinity for nature was calling me as if it knew I needed help.
Rylan squeezed my shoulder in warning, clearly sensing my tension. Stephen stopped in front of me and held up his hand.
“There’s an exit right around this corner,” he whispered. “It would do you well, granddaughter, to remember our agreement.”
“I already agreed,” I replied, shaking my head in irritation. They had to have known they had me. I would never intentionally put Chase in harm’s way.
Stephen rounded the corner quickly and Rylan pushed forward. Another panel led directly into the starless night. The clouds blotted out the moon, leaving the chilly night in complete darkness. My disappearance was already creating havoc. Shouts were coming from all around as party-goers bumped into each other, stumbling through the grounds; either in search of me or fleeing in panic.
My breath caught in my throat as Rylan’s arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me close. “Not far,” he whispered close to my ear, too close, sending a ripple of goosebumps cascading over my body.
