Hearts and Beaus

A Collection of Love Stories

Genre: Clean Contemporary Romance

No two love stories are the same. In Hearts and Beaus, enjoy not one, not two, but six unique tales of finding, choosing, and appreciating love. With stories about love that heals, overcomes, endures, and surprises, this collection of contemporary romances from authors spanning several genres is a treasure trove for the hopeless romantic.

Healing Hearts by Amy Stearman

Following a terrible accident that left her widowed and with a mute son, Kate struggles to regain her sense of normalcy. Balancing the diner she runs in her small home town against the weight of her son’s needs, the last thing Kate needs is another complication.

Ben finds himself in the small town of Barton, Missouri running on fumes and his last few dollars. He has no choice but to find a way to make some money or face going back home, a prospect he’d rather avoid.

When something as simple as a misbehaving vehicle brings the two together, their spark is undeniable. However, neither of them could have prepared themselves for just how connected they truly are.

What’s Luck Got To Do With It by E.J. Whitmer

If there’s the possibility of something going wrong, Riley Bremmel is sure to draw the short straw. Half of her life has been spent in a cast or Ace bandage. She’s dated losers and liars and never seems to land on her feet. Until she meets Graham, a handsome stranger who stumbles upon her changing a flat tire on a cold night. Maybe, just maybe, her luck is turning.

Graham Moore is the luckiest man in the Midwest. And, lucky him, he happens to be in the right place at the right time to rescue a damsel in distress. However, as time passes, his luck falters. The closer he gets to Riley, the more things turn against him. After learning of the Moore Family Curse, is it worth losing his luck to win his love?

The Extraordinary Ordinary by Elise Barker

Eva has it all: a good relationship with her husband Charlie, two goofy kids, a solid career, and a comfortable house. But a series of misunderstandings threaten to disrupt her happy normality. Shaken out of their routine and escaping to the woods in an ever-escalating comedy of errors, Eva and Charlie must work together in mutual trust to protect their family from forces outside their control. In the isolation of a rustic cabin, facing increasingly real dangers, Eva and Charlie rediscover the passion that had been missing from their snug yet mundane existence, and learn to appreciate The Extraordinary Ordinary.

105 Reasons by Erin Grosfield

Zoe is living her best life. After inheriting her grandparents’ farmhouse in her tiny hometown, she builds a thriving wedding venue in the old barn. Every day greets her with tranquility and laughs with her faithful, larger-than-life Great Dane. She has everything she needs.

Wyatt loves his penthouse life in the city, his world travels and his money. But with all his success, he has to admit he finds himself lonely and unfulfilled.

When a chance encounter brings their worlds together, will they be able to choose between the lives they know and their unexpected, inescapable longing to be together?

Something Beige by Megan Nelson

Paige is used to going unnoticed. When you’re a little plain and a lot introverted it comes with the territory. Trying to stay optimistic and true to herself, Paige looks for someone who values the natural over the fake, who understands there’s more to a person than meets the eye.

Losing yet another guy to a superficial beauty is the last straw. If all men prefer flash to substance, then she’s done with them. Fostering unwanted cats helps her feel needed and appreciated even if it doesn’t fill every corner of her heart. With all her focus on animal rescue, Paige is unaware that love is closer than she thinks.

If Only by Mica Rossi

Grant Richardson wasn’t looking for love, and certainly not in the silly castle on an island that shouldn’t exist. He was, after all, a lawyer. He didn’t believe in fairytales or pixie dust. Maggie Chalvis had dreamed of love but never expected it. She lived alone, with only her father and his secretary for company, confined to the castle created once upon a time for her enchanting mother.

Two solitary souls traveling in singular orbits. One grand master orchestrating their meeting. And just a little bit of Valentine magic.

Amy Stearman is an avid reader and writer of stories, hailing from the Midwest. She lives in the liberal mecca of Kansas with her husband, young son, and ornery Sheltie.

Amy holds her bachelors degrees in Human Services and Victim Studies, and a Masters degree in Social Work. That might sound pretty cool, but she accidentally ended up in marketing.

When she’s not chasing her six year old or attempting DIY home improvement, she’s jotting down story ideas and dreaming big.

E.J. Whitmer is a young-ish Iowa native who spends her days working in marketing and design. When she is not working or writing, she likes to spend her free time cooking, crafting, attending sporting events, harassing her outrageously good-looking husband or cuddling her toddler son.

Elise Barker received her PhD in English and the Teaching of English in 2014 from Idaho State University where she continues to work as a part time adjunct instructor. Today she is working on the curriculum for an intensive hands-on Harry Potter class for kids ages 11-17. Elise has written in a variety of genres, both academic and creative, but her heart currently lies with studying the art of memoir.

Elise and her husband Chris Elston have two kids and her favorite thing to do is play with them outside, whether it’s hiking, biking, snowshoeing, swimming, canoeing, or going to natural hot springs. If she gets to the end of the day and hasn’t done something Instagram-worthy, she rouses herself up and creates a memory.

Erin Grosfield is an author and perpetual dreamer currently holding down the fort in the Midwest with her musically inclined husband and two young children–one of which is well-behaved. She took her degree in journalism and became a creative entrepreneur, running her own magazine and later producing an original Emmy-nominated home renovation Web series. These days she’s dreaming in novel form and seeing her characters in the grocery store, which she took as a sign to put ideas down on paper and become an author–because, perpetual dreamer.

It’s no exaggeration to say that Megan Nelson is always writing. By day, she puts her two English degrees to work as a technical writer, delivering logical and easy-to-read training materials on demand. At night, she puts logic to bed and lets her creative side out to play. She is especially fond of love stories, ghost stories, science fiction, or any combination thereof.

Megan lives in Kansas with her husband and two young sons. Completing the household is an exceedingly fluffy cat and a surprisingly hardy Betta fish.

Mica Rossi has been writing since she was in the second grade and barely able to form her letters properly. Her first book, Once in a Blue Moon, is a paranormal romance and was selected as a spearhead novel for Melange Books’ White Satin Romance line. Her second published work, Heart Songs, is a collection of short stories and poetry about the human heart and all its boundless emotions. Other works have been featured in several anthologies, and she’s furiously scribbling through various drafts of her second full-length novel, a contemporary romance set during the Christmas season.

Now working as a paralegal to pay the bills, Mica hopes to someday make writing her full-time career. Of her own stories, she says, “I love the juxtaposition of an urban setting against elements of magick or faerie, demons, ghosts or mythical creatures. There’s something that draws me to those pockets of our universe where the laws of physics can be ignored, or at least trifled with. If Only… is one of those stories.”

A fantasy tale told from an unlikely source

Tolls the Bell by Maxine Murphy

Her family drives her crazy. But on a cold dark night, the chapel and the bells lead her to a terrible realization.

Holly Barbo‘s world is shaped by her love of family, the beauty of the nature and an irrepressible curiosity that frequently has her turning over rocks and questioning what she finds. This sometimes sends the reader down a rabbit hole into an alternate view of the world than what they expected. Holly’s mind can be an interesting place.

E.M. Denning is a writer from British Columbia. She loves her family and animals, and anything cute and fuzzy. She writes romance for the 18+ plus crowd because she’s both a hopeless romantic and a dirty old woman.

Suzy Stewart Dubot is an Anglo/American who has lived in France for over 35 years, she was encouraged to write in 2010 when reading a poorly written Regency romance. She felt sure she could do better, and hopefully she has. Although discovered late in life, it is now a passion lived to its fullest.

Sean Gallatin has lived in Alaska since he was a small child. A very private person by nature, some Alaskans are like that, he tends to keep his personal life to himself. An ex-Navy man, on returning home he found music to be his first love. While playing in a band, he has seen the seamier side of Alaska up close. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Anchorage was still trying to come to grips with having a fire hose nozzle of oil money flowing freely. Sean got to watch a lot of people and situations from the stage. It is surprising how people tend to ignore the band. There are more tales waiting to be told.

Michele E. Gwynn has loved writing stories since the third grade when she created her first book as a class project. She’s come a long way since then. She has several series published independently.

C. Forrest Lundin is a lover of all things having to do with the wilderness and the west. History and research are another of his favorite things. And he’s pleased as punch to be part of Paper Gold Publishing.

Cherime MacFarlane is a prolific multi-genre author, she has a broad range of interests that reflect her been there-done that life. Romance, Historical Fiction, Fantasy, Paranormal, all sorts of characters and plots evolve from a vivid imagination.

Ella Medler is a U.K. author and editor who lives in a corner of Heaven, on the south-west coast of Ireland, overlooking the Atlantic. She writes fiction in many genres — some after her own tastes, and some to make her readers happy. Sometimes, those two happen to coincide.

Regina Morris is an award winning author who writes the sensual paranormal romances that make up the COLONY series. She also writes some contemporary sweet romances and fantasy/time travel stories. The romance in these are light/sweet.

Jess Mountifield was born in the quaint village of Woodbridge in the UK, has spent some of her childhood in the States and now resides in the beautiful Roman city of Bath. She lives with her husband Phil and her very dapsy cat, Pleaides. Jess can often be found either in a cafe, grinning behind a large mug of hot chocolate, at her desk, getting annoyed with her cat for sitting on her keyboard, or on her comfy corner sofa with friends, enjoying a vast array of films.

Julie Elizabeth Powell can’t ignore her dreams, so many of them, with names and places and ideas that spark her imagination and compel her to write; to create stories, whether fantasy or horror, or mystery or psychological thriller or murder or even humour and adventure. So, Julie’s garden is sown, flourishing, with all manner of growth, and still the dreams come.

Maxine Murphy A very private person, Maxine writes what is in her heart. It’s not always comfortable or sweet, but it is authentic. She keeps her home life out of the public eye.

Surrendering the Past

The Granville Legacy series, book 1

by Pamela Lynne

Genre: Historical Romantic Suspense (British Regency)

In a world of honor and obligation, falling in love can be a dangerous game. Captain Richard Granville has returned to London after serving the Crown in perilous missions fighting Napoleon’s army. Bone weary and distrustful of all around him, the captivating Jane Dawson awakens his long dormant desire for more than a solitary existence. When he learns she is betrothed to his father, the conniving and dangerous Earl of Litchfield, shadows of the past descend upon Richard, bringing along memories of a tortuous childhood and his failure to protect the person he had loved most.

Jane Dawson would pay any price to renew her family’s happiness, but is the cost of marrying Lord Litchfield too high? A woman of virtue and honor, she cannot break a promise once given, especially when doing so would ruin those she seeks to protect. But can she ignore the connection she feels to the wild soldier who understands both her duty and her heart?

Follow the men of the Granville family in this suspenseful Regency romance series as they discover that their family legacy is much darker than they realized, and that the future holds treasures they can only grasp by surrendering the past.

“Ah, my son and my nephew. You have finally joined us.” The earl’s voice held a sickening sweetness that made Richard want to run. It was the voice Litchfield always gave when he was up to something vile—the performance before the mask was removed to reveal the evil underneath. Richard began to question his belief that the purpose of the evening was simply to celebrate Wesley’s betrothal, but rather something far more sinister.

Neither man responded but stood as the earl’s icy gaze trailed over his son. “It is good of you to make an appearance, Richard. I did not know if you were alive or dead these last two years.”

Richard’s outward appearance did not change as his father spoke. He retained the cold, emotionless expression he held when he walked through the door. Inside, he was reminding himself that he was no longer a child, and that voice need not send a bolt of fear straight through him. “You seemed to know enough to find me last week.”

“Yes, well, London is my town, is it not? I have many acquaintances here who like to fill me in on all the goings on. I am not fortunate enough to have friends in France or wherever it was you were all this time.” He paused once more to search Richard’s expression. Knowing full well what he was doing, Richard kept his gaze hard and unyielding. “Well, it is of no matter now. Your brother will be happy to see you.”

As the earl’s attention turned to Julian, Richard’s eyes once again wandered to his brother. Wesley seemed to stand straighter than the last time he saw him. As the eldest and heir to the considerable Litchfield estate, Wesley, Viscount Ashly, certainly had reason to be proud. However, it was not pride Richard read in his eyes as Wesley stared into his own, but curiosity mixed with something Richard could not name.

He father’s voice resonated beside him, but Richard barely heard him as the women in Wesley’s company came into focus. He recognized Rachel by the way she smiled sweetly in his direction. The years had been good to her. He remembered her as a slightly mousey, and mouthy, young lady, but the woman standing there was beautiful. He assumed the lack of a husband had kept her young and strong.

He nodded to her and turned his eyes to a smaller woman with many of the same features standing between Rachel and Wesley. She had a grip on his brother’s arm that left no doubt who she was. Kathleen. My future sister. The possessiveness in her expression hardened her otherwise lovely features, and Richard wondered at the cause of the protective stance. A slight look to the left of Wesley gave him his answer.

Captain Richard Granville was not often in the company of women. He had no sisters or any living female relations. He had often thought this was because the Granville men were so large and consuming that there was no room for delicacy, and the women just could not survive among them. There were, of course, the whores who followed the encampments along the battlefields and the occasional female spy who could never be trusted. But having so little experience with ladies in polite society, he was at first surprised and then gratified as a blush crept up this woman’s features as he held her eyes in his own. He heard the cackling laugh once more and watched as her blush intensified and turned into one of shame. She turned away, and Richard immediately missed having her eyes upon him. What was this angel doing in the den of the devil?

Pamela Lynne grew up in the American South, surrounded by Southern Gothic works by Faulkner, O’Connor and the like. These authors helped shape her evolving mind and continue to influence everything she produces as an adult. It was a Regency-era wit from across the Atlantic, however, who lit a life-long interest in 19th Century England.

Pamela cites Jane Austen as her primary literary influence and she delves into the darker aspects of Regency life in all her novels, most particularly in the upcoming Granville Legacy Series, where she explores the bonds of family and what it costs to break them.

Dearest Friends: A Jane Austen Inspired Novel, Pamela’s debut work, won the Independent Publishers 2016 IPPY Awards Bronze Medal for Romance.

Pamela currently lives in the rolling hills of Tennessee with her husband of more than a decade, three kids, two cats and one very blond dog. She is still a Marianne hoping to grow into Elinor, or Clairee from Steel Magnolias.

Author: Melissa Ann

Genre: Historical Romance

When Sarah has just about given up any hope of finding love in her small town, James a widower with a dark past literally comes to the rescue. It soon becomes clear that fate has brought them together for a reason, a chance for Sarah to find love and for James, finding someone to teach him how to forgive himself and to learn to love again. James moved to Black Rock, a small isolated town to escape his past, but a misunderstanding soon brings everything he is trying so hard to forget crashing in the present, opening Sarah’s eyes to some of his darkness. She knows she loves him but can she possibly entertain a future with a man that doesn’t possess the ability to trust?

The rain is now falling at a steady beat but I refuse to leave my little girl’s grave. With my finger, I trace over the name Amity, which has been delicately engraved into the headstone by my husband, himself. The rain does well to disguise the tears that flow freely down my face, as I lie on the ground beside the headstone. I have an incredible longing to hold my precious child once more. Amity’s death was an unnecessary crime, committed at the hand of someone I had loved very much and someone I never suspected had such darkness inside. Although Edmund is buried on our property, Amity was laid to rest at the local churchyard surrounded by our family and friends. She was loved by everyone and had the unique ability to lift anybody’s spirits with just her presence.

James and I have suffered so much heartache in the past two weeks, I don’t know if I can find the strength to stand up and make the long dreary walk home. As the rain soaks through my clothing, I can feel the cold penetrating my skin and I start to shiver uncontrollably. My eyelids feel heavy and I suspect that it is a result of all the sleepless nights I have been experiencing. All I need is just a little nap and I will feel better…

Title: A Silent Canvas Part Two

Author: Melissa Ann

Genre: Historical Romance

Sarah feels that being alone is much safer for her heart but when a family tragedy forces James to leave Black Rock, she bravely travels to a strange town to comfort him. After James reveals all of his secrets, Sarah agrees to marry him and together they begin their new life. They’re both anxious to start a family, but it’s not happening as quickly as they would like, until they take Edmund and Amity into their home. They raise Edmund and Amity as their own, so when an unexpected tragedy occurs at the hands of someone they love, leaving both children dead, they are devastated beyond belief.

Will their marriage survive this tragedy? Will the secret that Sarah is keeping from James bring them closer together or push them apart?

“There’s like a hundred buttons. I’ll never get this dress off you. Whoever made this dress certainly didn’t have the events that occur at the culmination of a wedding in mind.”

“Just think of it as unwrapping a present. Your growing anticipation as you become closer to discovering the treasure that lies within the layers you are unwrapping.” I can feel James press his lips down my spine as each button is released, causing a shiver to run through my body.

“Mmmmm, a present, I like that and just so you’re aware… something’s growing all right but it’s not my anticipation.” James whispers into my ear, his lips so close I can feel his breath tickling against my face. I almost melted into a puddle at James’s feet. I’m not even sure my legs will be able to hold me up much longer because his words made me weak with longing. James presses into my back and I can feel his erection, hard and eager to be touched. It’s impossible for me to stop myself from reaching behind me to grasp him in my fist.

Standing back, James pushes my hand away. “You’ve already unwrapped your present, it isn’t proper etiquette to play with your gift before the other guest unwraps theirs.” I let out a low growl of frustration, which James evidently finds amusing if his laughter is any indicator.

Title: A Silent Canvas Part Three

Author: Melissa Ann

Genre: Historical Romance

Little did James realize the impact opening the letter would have on his life. The letter his dead father left for him to find

Family secrets that have remained buried for over two decades surface, leaving James floundering and wondering what to do.

Certain events that unfold has James questioning the accuracy of his father’s letter. Will James finally find the answers he needs to bury the family secrets once and for all or will he uncover more than he bargained for?

As the sun moves to its most radiant spot in the sky the warmth softens the earth beneath our feet. We continue to take turns in silence, and with each shovelful of earth, my apprehension grows. When I’m not shoveling, I am pacing the forest floor, in an attempt to get rid of the pent-up energy that is humming through my body. When that doesn’t work, I was begin breaking sticks from fallen branches.

“James, I think I found something,” Benjamin says quietly. My head whips in his direction, my heartbeat racing in my chest. I take a deep breath and head over to the hole. Looking down, I can see what Benjamin is referencing. There is a wooden box at the bottom of the hole. It’s not very big, but it wouldn’t have to be for a small child. I take the shovel and start digging around the perimeter of the box to make it more accessible. I can’t seem to shovel fast enough, and I don’t stop, even when my arms are screaming and shaking with fatigue. The lid is sealed tightly, so I start working away at it with the shovel, each stroke splintering the wood a little more. I start yanking the pieces of wood off the box, cutting my hands in the process. Benjamin gets in the hole with me and starts helping me. By the time we’ve cleared away the wood from the top of the box I can barely close my hands, that’s how mangled they are, but I don’t feel the pain anymore. I am holding my breath and it is silent aside from the sound of my heart beating anxiously. I peer into the box and it’s empty. I start to sob and I can’t pinpoint the exact reason why.

18+ For mature audience

Newly engaged to Tyler,

Michelle needed to get away,

To escape her controlling fiancé,

So, to Durham College she goes to stay.

Surrounded by friends and a certain boy named Jax,

Michelle finally feels like she belongs.

Jax is a dream come true,

But Tyler’s possessiveness stays strong.

Michelle knows who her heart should pick,

The bass guitarist for a Christian Rock band.

But her boyfriend Tyler doesn’t like to give up what’s his,

Can Michelle risk Jaxon taking a stand?

I walk over to my stereo and press play. Linkin Park’s, “Breaking the Habit” breaks the silence. I sit on the carpeted floor and with shaky hands, I carefully pull the cloth away from the instrument of pain nestled inside.

Tears sting my eyes and I can feel my heart rate accelerate … Is it fear? Adrenaline? Or is it the trepidation of giving into my craving … my addiction. I run my finger along its surface feeling the urge start to take a stronger hold and my resolve is fading fast. Taking the x-acto knife in my hand, I submit to the addiction. I run the tip of my finger along the edge of the fresh blade and watch in fascination as blood starts to drip and land on the carpet. Pressing the blade against my inner arm I add enough pressure that the tip cuts into my skin. A euphoric feeling floods my body as the blade cuts deeper and the emotional pain is no longer there. The anger of the music speaks to me, consumes me… I hate my life, I hate the way I look, I can’t do anything right, no wonder no one wants me, I no longer want to feel…. I press down on the blade a little bit harder. Looking towards the ceiling, I plead once again with God. “Please let me die. Why won’t you listen to me? I am begging you to end my misery. I have nothing to live for!” My grip on the blade slips and I realize it’s from the blood covering the handle. So much blood… I feel woozy as I look at the open wound on my arm. I am unable to see how bad it really is because of the blood that continues to weep from the wound. The rivulets of blood painting a trail along my arm, bears a striking resemblance to tears… it’s my soul weeping for me. With each beat of my heart I can feel my soul fading.

What have I done? I’ve never cut this deep before. Stumbling to the bathroom, I push my way through the darkness that is starting to cloud my vision. I can’t pass out… I can’t pass out. I now have a new focus and it’s to slow down the bleeding. I lean on the bathroom counter for support, resting my bloodied hands on the surface. Looking into the mirror I am terrified at the person staring back at me. I don’t know who I am anymore. I’m lost in the maze of life and have yet to find the exit. It seems at every turn there’s a dead end, and with each wall I meet my sense of hope diminishes. My blood covered hands make it almost impossible to get a grip on the knob to the linen closet but through the use of both hands I manage to open the door and grab a towel from the shelf. I slide my back down the bathroom wall and after haphazardly wrapping the towel around my arm; I lay on the mat that lies beside the counter and close my eyes.

****For Mature Audiences 18+***

A decision was made

Michelle chose the one

That would make her as happy as can be

And her heart they had won

Michelle knows relationships aren’t easy

Challenges there will be

But what they’ll endure

Makes Michelle want to flee

The love of her life

Has been threatened, you see

So now once again a decision must be made

A difficult one indeed.

There will be jealousy and threats

A surprise at the end

Someone making the ultimate sacrifice for love

And a heart that might never mend.

I start to turn back to the front of the lecture hall to listen to the professor when a paper missile comes flying at my head. It bounces off my face and lands on my notebook. Opening it up I recognize Michelle’s writing right away.

Kings of Leon – Sex is on Fire

Now I’m adjusting myself. How am I supposed to focus after a note like that? Brody is snickering beside me. It’s quite obvious he must have read the note over my shoulder. I lean my head on the back of the seat, take deep cleansing breaths and think about naked, wrinkly old ladies. I shudder at the thought but it worked. I’m now back in the zone… the learning mode. Although I would like to be in another zone…like Michelle’s erogenous zone…between her legs…sinking into her hot, wet core…Oh crap…naked wrinkly old ladies…naked wrinkly old ladies.

I turn the piece of paper over and write…

Baby I’ll treat you like my homework – I’ll slam you on the table and do you all night long.

I bunch the note up once again and toss it over Michelle’s shoulder. Jenni reaches down to pick it up and as she starts opening the paper up Michelle grabs it out of her hand and shakes her head playfully. She opens the paper and after reading what I wrote she tosses her head back and silently laughs, her shoulders shaking. She peeks at me over her shoulder and winks.

And back to my mantra I go… naked wrinkly old ladies…naked wrinkly old ladies.

Title: Unbound by His Love 3

Author: Melissa Ann

Genre: Contemporary/Suspense Romance

*** For mature audiences 18+***

Sacrifice of a love affair…

Hearts broken

Questions unanswered

Pasts intertwined

And blackmail spoken

Michelle’s number one priority was keeping Jax safe but she soon discovers that perhaps it was a tragic mistake.

Why isn’t he looking for me?

Has he forgotten me already?

I’m drowning in a sea of darkness

Please save me from this misery.

Since the first moment he laid eyes on Michelle, Jax knew she was “the one”, but her constant need to run from their relationship has him wondering if she cares about him at all.

Why did she leave me?

She took a part of me that day

Things just aren’t adding up

I just can’t stay away.

Michelle turns her back towards me and drops her towel to the floor. I lick my lips as I take in every delicious curve of her body. She peeks over her shoulder and crooks her finger in a “come and get it” kind of way. Of course, it was a very hard decision to make… NOT… and I follow her like a lost puppy dog, or maybe it was a hungry dog… but before I follow her, I grab the bowl of whipped cream.

I set the bowl of whipped cream on the bed, and Michelle’s eyebrows lift up in amusement, her eyes unable to hide the desire burning in them. Pointing at the bowl she says, “Are you hungry?”

“Uh-huh. I want my dessert.” I cup the back of her neck and I slant my mouth over hers, luxuriating in the softness of her lips moving against mine. Before I pull away, I gently bite her lip. My hand cups her breast and my thumb caresses her already turgid nipple. Leaning down, I take her nipple in my mouth and using my tongue I circle it, my cock growing even harder when I hear her moan. I gently ease her back on the bed, and grabbing a spoonful of whipped cream, I cover her nipples with it. I lap the sugary cream off her nipples, and follow the white dessert laden trail to the landing strip that so adequately points me in the direction of where I must go. Picking up the spoon, I paint her hot core with more dessert topping. Running my tongue along the folds of her pussy, I swirl the tip of my tongue around her clit.

“Oh god, Jax that feels so good. Is dessert to your liking?” She speaks to me in a husky voice.

“Oh yeah, baby. You taste so good.” I place Michelle’s legs over my shoulder and continue to lap at her hot center, absorbing the sounds of her quickening breath and groans of pleasure. My cock is as hard as granite and pushing against the fabric binding it.

“Jaxon!” Michelle screams my name as an orgasm rips through her body.

I’m shaking with pent up sexual energy. I have to be buried in her right now. I reach my hand out to help Michelle up from the bed. She complies, but her eyebrows are scrunched with confusion. I turn her around so she’s bent over with her hands resting on the bed. My lips brush along her spine.

“Is this okay?” I wait for her to grant me permission. This is my favorite position, and at one time hers as well, but I never want to do anything that would make her feel uncomfortable or scared.

“Yes.” Her voice is trembling but I don’t think its fear, but rather desire.

“Are you sure?” I ask again.

“Jax if you don’t fuck me right now then… I don’t know what I’d do, just do it already.” She almost growls with frustration.

Title: Solace In Silence

Author: Melissa Ann

Genre: Poetry

Sometimes in our darkest moments,

When we can’t tell the lies from what’s true,

When we don’t have the strength to go on,

The love of a friend helps us get through.

Solace in Silence,

Is my personal fight,

Through poetry,

From darkness to light.

One Day

 Give me your hand,

I’ll help lift you up.

Let me hold you near,

And you can tell me what’s up.

You’ve been hurt in the past,

You have been broken down.

Instead of hating who did this,

You blame yourself, I can see it in your frown.

You hold the world on your shoulders,

Sometimes you wish you didn’t feel so much,

But this is the gift you’ve been given,

And you must accept it as such.

You fight the demons,

Every single day.

Most days you win,

But some days you’re too tired to slay.

If you look

Deep within your soul,

You’ll see a light,

Do you see the dim glow?

Just have faith,

In who you are.

And one day,

That light will grow.

So look at how far you have come,

Not how far you need to go.

As long as you keep fighting,

One day you won’t feel as low.
